PREPARING FOR YOUR TATTOO APPOINTMENT

Physical preparation:

+Remember to bring your ID and payment! (I take cash or up to $300 on Venmo)

+Wear comfortable clothing that allows for access to the tattoo area! We do provide privacy curtains if needed.

+Do not drink excessive alcohol the day before your tattoo, it can cause the blood to be thin and your tattoo might take longer than expected and may have trouble healing. With that said if you take blood thinners, consult your artist about medication concerns.

+Stay hydrated! A hydrated skin makes for easier tattooing and healing. Lotions and moisturizers on the area of tattoo can be a good idea, especially if you have dry skin. If you want to go above and beyond, exfoliate and moisturize beforehand! (no need to shave, we are professional shavers - if you do have thick hair, trimming will help but leave the shaving to us)

+Avoid being over-caffienated! It thins your blood and can make your body twitchier/restless.

+Eat a good full meal at least a couple hours before your tattoo. If your tattoo is a big one, it might be best to bring snacks and a water vessel.

+The best kind of snacks to bring are sweet/sugary snacks to get your blood sugar back up. I usually have some candy/snacks on me so ask if you’re feeling lightheaded or woozy. A lot of shops will have candy around.

+If you are prone to fainting/passing out, let your artist know. It’s rare, but it happens.

+If you have any medical conditions or allergies, you will likely be asked on your release form, it is still good to check in with your artist on those things.

+If you have ANY questions, just ask!
